Main fishing grounds from January to March northeast of New Zealand between East Cape and North Cape where taken by game fishers and foreign longliners (Ref. 9258). Also found to the north of North Cape in September to October (Ref. 9258). Voucher specimen(s) held at the NMNZ. Also Ref. 168, 89192, 89423.
